Tejinder Sharma, born 1952 in Jagraon (Punjab), holds a Masters Degree in English Literature from the University of Delhi.
An established storywriter in Hindi, Tejinder selects characters from his ambience and fights their battle on paper. Variety of themes and their relevance to the contemporary times is another feature of his stories. He has written mellifluous ghazals and poetry as well. He has written episodes of the famous TV serial ‘Shanti’ and has performed in TV serials. He is the General Secretary of Katha UK and organises the only international award for Hindi literature viz. International Indu Sharma Katha Samman at the House of Lords, London every year.
Tejinder's stories and poems have been translated into English, Urdu, Punjabi, Nepali, Marathi, Gujarati, Oriya and the Czech languages. His stories are available as an Audio Book on a CD.
