Prof Bhargavi Rao, one of the founding editors of Muse India, passed away
suddenly on May 23, 2008. A recipient of Sahitya Akademi Award for translation
she had done pioneering work in the area of Women’s writings in Telugu.
Sujatha Gopal, a research scholar under her, and V Nagalakshmi, pay their tributes to her. An interview done with her by Ambika Ananth a few years ago is included.
The section also features interviews with the eminent Malayalam poet O N V
Kurup and the noted poet-editor Rabindra Swain. Articles by Ram Sharma and
A Vasavi complete the section.
